Our Board
The Waddington Historical Association was founded in the summer of 2021. Our Board Members were elected to establish the Association and to support the Waddington Historian and Museum Director. We are committed to being the caretakers of Waddington's history to preserve it for future generations.

I am a Waddington native who is in love with this “little piece of heaven” on the St. Lawrence River. I invited interested community residents and we worked together to form the historical association to support our community’s historian and museum. As a result, we now have the Waddington Historical Association. I am so proud of what we have accomplished so far and look forward to continuing to work with this amazing group of people who want to see Waddington’s rich history celebrated and displayed in the type of permanent location it deserves.

I am the mother of seven adult children who are the fourth generation to live on the family farm. Four of the seven have returned, after living and working in various cities, to settle down in Waddington. I became a member of WHA because I share a vision to impart to the next generation the rich history and heritage of their hometown of Waddington, so they too, can realize- there's no place like home.

I have lived in Waddington my entire life and have had an interest in history since elementary school. One of my earliest memories is of field trips over to the Moore Museum from the old Waddington Elementary School. I've also loved the sense of comradery as well as the genuine care and concern feeling from our small town over the years. When the Waddington Historical Association was forming and looking for interested participants, I was excited to join. Waddington has a lot of amazing and significant history and it's important to continue to share this for generations to come.
Secretary

I joined the Waddington Historical Association for several reasons. I am a fourth generation of the Hunter Family residing in Waddington. I have been interested in the history of Waddington for many years. It is my feeling the more we know about our local history the more we learn of ourselves. The study of our local history connects us to our present as well as to one another. I look forward to continuing my historical endeavors as a member of the Waddington Historical Association.

I’m a Waddington native (4th generation). My grandparents (Reagan) built a home on St. Lawrence Avenue before the Seaway was established. During construction of the Seaway, the house was lifted and moved, where it remains today, still in possession of our family. My love of Waddington and the St. Lawrence River has inspired my involvement with the Waddington Historical Association.

I am happy to call Waddington my home. I have always loved listening to stories of Waddington throughout the years from friends and family. My interest in joining the WHA has stemmed from wanting to help others as well as learn more about the place we call home.
